THE GREAT SHOWDOWN
A message from Phillip:
In February 2027 something grand, something I am proud of, will see the light: A mediabook, 2 Vinyls and a CD plus digital. I called it "The Great Showdown". The name has nothing to do with the end of my "career". Whenever I decide to finish my "career" as a musician: I would tell no one about it.
"The Great Showdown" was curated by myself: A collection of the most popular work of the Voodooclub; my personal, underrated important songs; a live album with authentic, good sound of our annual Leipzig concerts; plus of course 11 brandnew songs ... and more.
It was almost a mission impossible - it took me and all the lovely people involved more than a whole year. Now it's done and out early next year. Thanks. Proud.
The recording of the 11 new songs, this time, was quite difficult: No Cappuccino recordings at all. No - it was very intense and exhausting: Arguments flying, Ego-Clashing, fighting: Just like in the good old days!
You can feel the intensity when you hear it. Proper.
Bye for now - off to rehearsals. Love, Boa.
The Great Showdown
It will be released mid February 2027 via Universal Music Catalogue Domestic Germany / Capitol Records.
The 1st Single from it ("I am the 21st Century") was released a few days ago on Spotify, Apple Music etc.
